Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Toulouse, France, Blue Spirit Aero is an aerospace startup developing hydrogen-electric aircraft powered by fuel cell propulsion systems. The company aims 
to accelerate the decarbonization of regional air mobility through sustainable, zero-emission flight solutions.
Blue Spirit Aero’s flagship aircraft concept, Dragonfly, is a lightweight, two-seater hydrogen-powered demonstrator designed for training and short-range regional flights. The aircraft is built using advanced composite structures and integrates proprietary hydrogen fuel cell stacks, electric propulsion, and lightweight energy storage systems.
The company targets emerging markets for clean aviation, including pilot training, regional transport, and low-noise flight operations near urban areas. Blue Spirit Aero also collaborates with academic, aerospace, and hydrogen ecosystem partners across Europe to advance regulatory certification and commercialization of hydrogen-powered aviation.
