By providing flight hardware, payload integration, mission planning and on-orbit operations, Redwire supports researchers seeking to use microgravity as both a scientific environment and a manufacturing platform. Its broader engineering capabilities include digital twins, modeling and simulation, hardware-in-the-loop testing and mission-specific software. These tools allow spacecraft, payloads and operating concepts to be evaluated across the design cycle and help connect component development with system-level performance before flight.
Redwire also contributes to technologies needed for sustained operations beyond low Earth orbit, including docking and berthing mechanisms, robotic systems, lunar-surface infrastructure and equipment for future commercial space stations. This work connects its component and payload expertise with the larger systems required to support longer-duration missions and human activity in space.
